My Intro Blog....
As a Master Trainer I think it's assumed by most that I place a lot of emphasis on physical activity, maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle, and staying in great shape. Yes, that is true. However, I'd like to take a moment here to explain my idea of what "great shape" means.
The first and most important aspect of good health is self-love. Appreciate yourself and everything you are. This is something that not only benefits you, but it radiates outward to everyone around you and affects the way you approach your relationships, your work, and anything you look to as a goal.
There is no such thing as a better body. Let's forget such ideas. Every woman has her own special brand of beauty, and has something truly unique about her. Achieving a comfortable, healthy weight and increasing your body's flexibility and aerobic capacity do not make a woman "prettier" - they make her "healthier". Your weight has nothing to do with your attractiveness!
I don't like the idea of dieting, certainly not long term. If a person begins by counting carbs or calories or weighing their food that's all right on a short-term basis, giving her that jump-start that she may psychologically need. (That IS what eating right is all about. How you think!)
In the long-term my aim is to bring nutrition to a woman's life by helping her to make good choices, day by day. This becomes a part of a person's life to the extent that you don't need to think about what you eat anymore!
This takes time. I am very much against the quick-fix, lose 30 pounds in 30 days kind of thinking. I feel it is unhealthy and may possibly be life-threatening to some.
