or How to Costume the Belly Dance Goddess in You!

110 Hopewell Ave. at Leonard, in Old Ottawa South
(Between Bank St. and Bronson Ave, off Sunnyside Ave near Carleton U)
$ 48* including GST
Come spend Saturday learning the basics of Belly dance costume making. Topics will include make-up and accessories, basic components of various dance styles, using “found” pieces of fabric and garments to create your own personal statements as a dancer. You can also bring in costume pieces and old party dresses or fabrics you are working on for on the spot advice!
Space will be limited.
*Register by March 4th to save $6 off the $48 fee.

Provided at the workshop will be an in depth information booklet and an organic and healthy lunch!
L'atelier sera donne principalement en anglais, mais Randi et les etudiants bilingues traduiront en francais ou necessaire.
About Tracey "Halyma" Vibert:
Obviously if you've checked around the website, you'll get a clear idea of Tracey's years of sewing in both the bridal and dance costume worlds.
Having presented many Costuming Information Sessions in the past few years, Tracey is looking forward to the new fun of sharing the stage with Randi " Randala" Cherry, as they share many of the same views on costume making and some very divergent ones!
Tracey enjoys all aspects of costume making, from creating basic canvases for her clients to decorate themselves, to fully embellishing costumes for herself and her customers.
About Randi "Randala" Cherry:
Costumer for the Enan Egyptian Folkloric Troupe during its
first 17 years, Randi has been dancing, teaching, and costuming locally for many years.
Her experiments with "Stained glass" "Transformer costumes"
and "Patchwork" techniques take frugal and creative costuming to its limits while offering original and elegant end products.
She has immense knowledge and experience with Folkloric, Ghawazee, tribal and other styles of costuming as well as enjoying Fantasy pieces that enlighten the soul!
